Our Pharmacist Does the Work

Transferring a prescription to Faith & Healing Pharmacy in Mount Juliet takes one phone call or a quick visit, and our pharmacist does the rest. You don’t need to contact your old pharmacy, cancel anything, or explain why you’re leaving. We request the prescription, sort out any insurance questions, and call you when it’s ready for pickup, curbside collection or delivery. Transfers are free, and many finish the same day. Call 615-583-7575 to start.

How to Transfer, Step by Step

There are five steps, and only the first one involves you.

01

Send Us Your Details

Call 615-583-7575 or visit us at 151 Adams Lane, Suite 18. Tell us who you are, which medications you want moved, and which pharmacy holds them now. If you don’t have the details to hand, a photo of the pill bottle label is enough.

02

We Contact Your Old Pharmacy

Our pharmacist contacts your current pharmacy directly and requests the records. You don’t need to call them or give a reason for leaving. For controlled substances, federal rules require the transfer to happen between two licensed pharmacists, which we handle by phone.

03

We Check Insurance and Refills

We run your insurance and check how many refills remain. If a prescription has no refills left or has expired, we contact your prescriber for a new one, and you don’t need an appointment for that. If anything else needs resolving, we tell you what it is.

04

We Call You When It’s Ready

We confirm what transferred, what it will cost under your insurance, and how you want to collect it: in store, at the curb, or by delivery. Tennessee rules require us to tell you the prescription has been cancelled at your previous pharmacy, so it stays active in one place only.

05

Your Refills Come From Us

From then on, request refills by phone, online or in the RxLocal app. If you take several medications, ask about free medication synchronization so they all renew on one date. Our refills page explains every option.

What We Need From You

We need four details to start a transfer. Prescription numbers and pill bottles help, but they aren’t required.

Your Full Name

So your current pharmacy can find your record.

Your Date of Birth

This confirms we have the right patient.

The Medications to Move

You can move some and leave others where they are.

Your Current Pharmacy

Its name and location, such as the street or town.

Helpful, But Not Required

A few extras make the transfer faster: your prescriber’s name, your insurance card, and a phone number we can reach you on. A photo of the pill bottle label covers most of this in one picture, because the label carries the prescription number, prescriber and pharmacy details.

Moving prescriptions for your whole household? Give us each person’s name and date of birth, and we handle them together, then line up their refills so the household gets one delivery a month.

How Long It Takes and What to Expect

Most transfers finish within 24 to 48 hours, and many the same day, often within a couple of hours. A transfer takes longer in three cases: your previous pharmacy is slow to respond, a prescription needs a new authorization from your prescriber (usually one to two business days), or there is an insurance question to resolve. We tell you which applies rather than leaving you guessing.

Start the transfer about a week before your current supply runs out. If you’re down to your last few doses, tell us when you call. We’ll prioritize it and tell you the same day whether we can fill it, or whether you need a short supply from your current pharmacy to bridge the gap. Transfers are free. Tennessee pharmacy rules don’t allow gift cards or rewards for switching, so we don’t offer them.
