How to request a refill

There are four ways to request a refill, and every one of them reaches the same pharmacy team at 151 Adams Lane, Suite 18. Whichever route you use, tell us how you want to collect it: in store, at the curb or by delivery. You can also request refills for a spouse, child or parent already on file with us.

  • By phoneCall 615-583-7575, tell us which medication you need, and say whether you’ll collect it in store, at the curb or by delivery. You speak to the pharmacy team directly, with no phone tree.
  • OnlineComplete the form on our online refill page with the medications you need and submit it. The same form takes refill, synchronization and pickup requests, so tell us there if you’d like curbside pickup or delivery.
  • In the appDownload the RxLocal app from our current patients page, then request refills, set medicine reminders and message the pharmacist from your phone. One account can manage the whole family’s prescriptions.
  • At the counterAsk at the counter when you’re in the pharmacy, and the team will set up the refill while you’re there. If the medication is in stock, it’s usually ready the same day.

Once we have your request, a pharmacist fills and checks it, and we call or text you as soon as it’s ready. If an insurance issue comes up, we call you before anything goes out. Request two or three days before you run out. If you have no refills left, we contact your prescriber for a new authorization at no charge, which usually takes one to two business days.

Medication synchronization

Medication synchronization, or med sync, lines every repeat prescription up to one collection date a month. Instead of tracking several refill dates, you make one pharmacy trip, or take one delivery, for all your ongoing medications.

To set it up, we review your prescriptions and adjust the quantities once, with short fills where needed, so every refill lands on the same day. Then we set your monthly fill date. From then on, your refills are ready together, so you no longer run low on one medication while waiting for another. Before each cycle, a pharmacist calls you to confirm any changes and reviews your medications for accuracy and safety.

It suits patients taking several ongoing medications, caregivers managing prescriptions for a family member, and anyone tired of making several pharmacy trips a month. Everyone in a household can be lined up to the same date, so one trip covers the whole family. If you take only one ongoing medication, there is nothing to line up, and a regular refill works just as well.

To start, call 615-583-7575 and ask to enroll. We verify your coverage before enrolling you, because the short fills used to line up your medications go through your insurance plan, and most plans allow them. The first month may involve a few short fills; after that, everything is filled on one day. Tell us whether you want your monthly package in store, at the curb or delivered.

Med sync is free for our patients. You pay only your normal copay or cash price for the medications you actually fill that month. Read more on our prescription synchronization page, or ask about it the next time you collect a refill.

Curbside pickup

Curbside pickup lets you collect your prescription without leaving your car. It’s free, and it’s available during all opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM. A member of our team brings your medications out to you. It suits busy schedules, parents with children in the car, and anyone with mobility concerns.

How it works:

1. Ask for curbside. When you request your refill by phone, online or in the app, tell us you’d like curbside pickup. We call or text you when it’s ready.

2. Park in the curbside area. Drive to 151 Adams Lane, Suite 18, and park in our designated curbside area outside the pharmacy. If you’re not sure which space to use, call us when you pull in, and we’ll tell you where to wait.

3. Tell us you’re here. Call 615-583-7575 or use the app to let us know you’ve arrived. Stay in your car; there’s no need to come inside or wait in line. A team member brings your medications to your car within a few minutes.

Bring a photo ID if you’re collecting a controlled substance, because our team will check it in your car. A family member or caregiver can collect for you if they know your name and date of birth, and they bring photo ID for controlled or other restricted prescriptions. Curbside also works for completed prescription transfers and many over-the-counter products. If you’d rather not drive at all, our prescription delivery service brings it to you instead.
